Wan Tan Mee @ Wah Chai
Published by Coconutkun under Food on 4/12/2009 07:26:00 AMWhat's the heaviest noodle in the world? The answer: Wan Tan Mee (1 tonne noddle)..Everybody knows that Wantan Mee is a common dish. They come in various styles of making e.g in black sauce, in some places with ketchup, in hot sauce and so on; but most of the time, you either call for the black sauce version or in clear soup..other options such as the ketchup version, hot sauce and so on, are unique and rare to a particular place.
This time around, Restoran Wah Chai, Bukit Tinggi has made entry into this blog. It's a hawker center basically, so they don't just sell one thing..There used to be great Red Wine Noodles here, (which my mom loves), but there isnt anymore..What is still standing here however, is their wan tan mee - Klang is not only famous for only Bak Kut Teh okie.. This place has made it to the papers a few times actually..and i think, what stands out really good about their dish is the accompanying char siew and paikut..the noodle is nice too (alot of fried pork oil..lol)..the price however is a little expensive, RM 5 for the small plate (just a little expensive) I think most of the price goes down to pay for the meat..not the noodles..
