For me, Pasta Zanmai ranks top on my list for events like bdays basically the food is great! and no.2, their desserts look yummy...and tastes yummy..youll find everyone delighted when with their food no matter what they order, comparing it with one another and at the back of their minds thinking, i have to try this one the next time i come back...the place is a lil crowded during dinner with price range from abt 16 to 32 per plate..slightly pricey but for the whole package;ambiance, tasty food, delightful array of desserts to choose from etc. etc. i think its worth it..My second attempt at Pasta Zanmai's in 1U turned out pretty successful too..we had a large crowd but with no VIP seats..but hey, coming in a group always turns heads and attention..I noticed something peculiar about Zanmai's dishes this time, which is, telur mata kerbau seems to be quite frequently found in their dishes, be it, ramen and rice, and even their pizza too (view the collages)..judging from the name, i think you'd probably guessed that its a japanese restaurant.. it is ..However, unlike typical jap restaurants, this place boast desserts that comes so hard to resist ..the best part is, the desserts come exactly as seen in the pictures of the menu..
uch thing as squid ink noodles; in which the base of the sauce is made from non other than real squid's ink..cool!..the noodles tasted nice but the more fun part was actually using it to draw pictures on our serviettes..100% utilisation of the sauce..(view picture on the right ---> look at how creative we were)..eating the noodles was another issue as well; its a daunting task eating without touching your lips (it stains)..and dont smile while eating >.< ..
Lastly, wishing all the birthday girls a happy birthday namely: Sarah (my twin), Devin (Tai ka che) and Yee Leng (Mushtaro)
