Ipoh the return

Well, so okie...Ipoh is not only about mountains..its a place where all the chun chicks come from.. annnndddd ...its a place for good food..Here is my makan experience @ Ipoh last November08'...Me and the guys stopped by the town for some coffee before proceeding to Cameron that time..Ipoh is so famous for coffee..In fact, the Old Town Kopitiam outlets you see everywhere in Malaysia has its origins from the lil old shop of Nam Heong which you see here in this pic. According to my friend however, locals actually prefer Yoon Loong compared to Nam Heong (i wonder why? anyone?). Yoong Loong is located directly opposite Nam Heong and they are both competitors (arc rivals?). However, ill give credit to Nam Heong for franchising the outlet nationwide and creating a reputable brand image out from it. I guess its a great success. Clap clap..

Ipoh's not only about coffee, there are tons of other good stuff too..But how much can you eat in half a day's visit..Fortunately, we managed to try their famous bean sprout chicken and kuey tiew soup before leaving the town.. really nice ..i think its gotta be the sauce or whatever lah.. its really nice.. indescribable.. after main course its gotta be desserts lo...not too far from the bean sprout chicken restaurant, there's a lil shop tucked at the corner which sells great soy bean drink and bean curd..i guess its safe to say that this shop should be another familiar place in town..its really famous for what it sells..my comment..its really fresh...nice and light.. Hope to see you again IPOH!!
