Famous Teochew Chendol, Penang

I find it strange that im writing about cendol, something that ive eaten all my life, yet there isnt a thing i know that i can write about..Also wondering how i made it through the last article on cendol..remember cendol Klang? Well, here's a cendol that beats it kau kau...frankly, i never eaten anything closer to the niceness of this cendol and ..and ..and its Teochew? and I thought cendol originated from Southern Thailand since in Thai, cendol basically means "help!"..guess it mustve been darn difficult to make them during the olden times but now, its just a squeeze away; umm, u noe what i mean right?

Well, stripping cendol right down to its core, the dessert is made out from strips of green pea flour dough (added pandan for flavour), served with santan (coconut milk), gula melaka (palm sugar) and red beans in shaved ice..i wonder if anyone who hasnt eaten this imagine how it tastes like by just looking at the ingredients..Then again, why am i thinking this?

Anyways, Teochew Chendul is located at Penang road, Penang, same as 'line clear' restaurant in the preceeding article..the stall serves awesome ice kacang too.Lastly, i regret writing this article cos im craving for a bowl of cendol right now! =( LOL
