Taiwanese Dessert Secrets..

Located in SS15, at the first floor of one of the shop lots opposite Asia cafe, Taiwanese Dessert Secrets serves unique taiwanese desserts that should be made known to all..The first time i was introduced to this place, it was so crowded that we (the guys and i) decided to give up on waiting..At that point of time, i knew that this wasnt any ordinary dessert stall and i just had to come back to try it at least once.. Now that i have managed to try, i want more! Here @ Snowflake, their award winning dessert would be their their Grass Jelly Ice with taro balls..Grass Jelly is basically cin cau lohh..but the taro balls on the other hand (the white and orange stuff), i have no idea what is it.its taro lohh...the texture of the taro balls is chewy and its pretty hard to describe the extent of its chewness...perhaps the closest thing i can come to would be tapioca starch?..blends in perfectly well with the jelly and ice..a tint of milk and vuallahhh!! perfecto..

Taiwanese dessert secrets also sell other stuff but itll be sometime till i come back to try the others since its soya, red bean, sweet potato and stuff..eww..hahah...till then, taro balls rulz..
