Ampang Lookout Point
Published by Coconutkun under on 11/13/2009 09:49:00 AMWestern! Steaks! Grill! Pasta..Just look at all these wonderful dishes here..Never felt so delighted when youre presented with so much food..But of course, all these werent ordered at the same time, they were collected throughout a series of outings here at Ampang Lookout point..
I have been to this place quite a number of times now; enough times to confidently say that the trip to this place is somewhat affected by (1) the weather and that(2) the steaks here arent the best in the town.. But if there is one thing that does draw hundreds of ppl to this place every weekend, its the scenery..
Strategically located atop a hill which over looks the KL city, this place definately ranks in my lists..However, there can be a number of factors that can affect the success of your trip ie. knowing the way (cos the place is diff to find) and there is the weather factor. Being semi-open-air, you'd have a big problem if it rains and it can get real cold..
Basically, Ampang Lookout point has four restaurants to choose from: (1) Gasoline, (2) Restaurant Lookout Point, (3) Bread and Olives and (4) Haven..Gasoline serves local and Western, Lookout and Haven lean towards Western lastly, Bread and Olives, Mediterranean - which means roasts and kebabs..Again, all have limited balcony/ sheltered seats, so, you'd have a big problem when it rains..Bread and olives probably has the best interior, followed by Haven..View wise, Gasoline is abit left out since trees block the way. The rest are okie..Food wise, all are okie oni with Bread and Olives being slightly expensive..but the winner of huge crowd goes to Gasoline...
How to get there:
