What drives you?: Alor Setar stop

Alor Setar, the capital city of Kedah..From Penang, its 80 plus km of travelling... or was it 90? Felt silly measuring

the distance between the two using the ruler on the map at that time, but hey, its works... We left for Kedah from Penang at 530 that faithful day..it was at at height of the jam!!.but thank God, driving the Murano and the scenery along the way just made the drive a whole lot easier..alot of paddy fields and nice sunset..Murano GPS sucks big time..first, you cant see where youre heading cos you cant zoom in..second, when its nite, the display on screen reflects onto the front screen of the car..

Personally, i haven been to Alor Setar before..so,i had the faintest idea of what the capital was like..Honestly, its a nice little city..but boring~..Guess what we had for dinner that day?..McDonalds @.@" (sry, din take pic of McD food i ate)..haha..Well, if someone would to have asked whether i have eaten at Alor Setar's McD, at least i could testify that ive done that.. We checked in Regency Hotel that nite.Wanted to go cheap before spending a whooper at Andaman, Langkawi the next day..Regency was okie for its price..RM 180 per nite, twin singles

The following day began with a pleasant breakfast at the hotel..Had to rush to the jetty to catch the speed boat to Langkawi..Whilst waiting for my boat, managed to capture a few shots which i thought was really nice and colorful~the fisherman boats!! But we werent taking those to Langkawi..haha..ours was the speed boat shown at the last pic..Next, see you in Langkawi..
