Coconut Flower Seafood restaurant..
Published by Coconutkun under on 10/08/2009 10:01:00 PMMany dont know this but Port Klang actually consists of South, North and Westports..Me and the guys were here to check out Westports one day..Initially KH wanted to bring me to Port Dickson to view the beach., but that's like two hours away...so friggin' jauh, so i suggested an alternative ie. to check out Westports instead...got sea also mah..to our dismay (and as probably predicted), Westport is such a lousy subsitute..LOL..sorry loh..So, we're done with Southport and Northport; remember Bagan1? that was Northport..Westport leh? Sad to say, there is nothing here!.. except for one day, we decided to give this place another try and discovered that there was paintball (article on tht coming soon..cross fingers).. and probably some neat fishing spots as well. Well if youre heading to Westports for whatever reason, and using the KESAS highway, pls don't fail to notice the exit which says Telok Gong..If you bypass this, you're probably missing one of the seafood havens in Klang.. I think many ppl will noe this one..Its gotta be Coconut flower Seafood Restaurant right? True but not true also..personally, id recommend somewhere else in Telok Gong that has better seafoodbut that'll be in another article..For now, lets just settle for Coconut Flower..To get there, exit off the KESAS highway into Telok Gong..Travel about 2km inwards and look out for signboard on the left with leads you directly to the restaurant. ..For my review this time, honestly, its just ma ma tei (average) only. We were super hungry at that time, and usually, food will taste extra good when youre hungry, right? Well, that wasnt the case that day..mayb because of the lala mei fun which failed miserably..other dishes such as the crab and prawns were ok oni.. as they say lah, the more commercialized/popular a place gets, the complaisant they become ..that's the case for our fren here..The food here scores slightly above average for main dishes like prawns and crabs..Did we order the wrong dishes? We'll do away with the verdict this time since we only tried 5 dishes..but i think a plus factor for this place is probably its open-air coconut trees + little huts feel..you could alse choose the rumah panjang (long house) which i thought was really unique..so, judging from that, its gotta be a night/dinner event ya.. describing the place a little more, the place is a little secluded actually...but no worries la, got hundreds of ppl eating here at any one time..rumours has it that a bunch of robbers once robbed this place..customers were forced to queue up and hand in their valueables..after that incident, the robbers came back! this time, the chefs were prepared..the came rushing out with their cleavers..the incident din occur anymore though..the robbers were scared the shit out themselves
