Steven's Corner, OUG

Initially, what was suppose to be a makan outing at Restoran Hong Cha, OUG (famous for their pork noodles with unlimited chu yao char (fried pork fat) ) turned out to be makan outing at an Indian Restoran.. But this aint any normal Indian restaurant..This was Steven's Corner deiii..HQ some more..This place is super famous for their burung puyoh meat..Sure they have other stuff like any other typical indian stall (bryani rice, nasi lemak, tosai etc.), but when i was young (now i old already), my uncle and aunt from Spore would come all the way here to tapau dozens of burung puyuh meat..It was not until recently that i had the chance to visit this place again (i mean their HQ at OUG).. Steven's is famous, they are everywhere; Setapak, Pandan Indah, Bkt Tinggi Klang (coming soon).. they're franchising...

So what's burung puyoh? In English, its quail bird..some of you might not be familiar with this as its meat is not commonly found anywhere..More commonly found are their eggs; in lin chee kang, masak sambal, in stores etc..You can refer to the top pix on the right to see how the real bird looks like..Its flightless and its a real cute bird.. now im having second thoughts eatin' em..Well, according to one my Muslim friend, if you feel pity for a creature you eat, you shouldnt eat them..but wth..bantai only..For me, burung puyuh actually tastes like normal chicken..only smaller, meaning you have lesser meat to chew on..I still recall YL almost regretting eating this poor lil creature..
