Just Heavenly Pleasures, Damansara Heights
Published by Coconutkun under Desserts on 4/26/2010 08:35:00 PMAs im thinking about this place..trying to recall all the facts to write this article, there are two things that comes into mind..first, this place is so elusive!..and second, why no place to sit and enjoy the cakes gehh..
'Intro'ed by Mel, me and the guys attempted to try out this place for quite a number of times already but to no avail. We tried going on a Sunday (typically after our hikes) but they're closed! thinking its our timing fault, we tried coming earlier only to find out that they are not even open on that day -.-"..Second, this place pretty hard to find loh..or rather, i wouldn't have gone so deep into Damansara Heights just to look for or just happen to bump into this place if not recommended.. I mean, what are the odds..
So, after much complaining, here are the verdicts for the cakes sold here.Did i mention it's a cake shop? lol...4 cakes tried; 3 good, 1 mama tei.. Of the 4, one needs no introduction - its the famed durian choc cake (the pic with the cake having an almond on top) ~ a light choc shell enclosing durian fillings (wondering if it can be classified as cake)..just cracking the shell releases 'heavenly' aromatherapy...the pleasure part comes when u put in your mouth..Hence, the shop name Heavenly Pleasures..LOL..but personally, something is not right lo -i forgot which one, but i think the durian over-powers the choc abit...The butterscotch is good too (cake on the top left); requires heating before served..the cake looks cool and just as you were expecting it to look even cooler when it comes out from the microwave -.-" disappointment..everything melts into 'nothing' ness (cant find the word to describe)..Luckily managed to snap a 'before-enter-microwave' photo..
